E93 Plasti-Dip Question

I'm thinking about plasti-dipping the chrome trim on my E93 but there is a bit in the back that actually makes contact with the rear window and I'm worried that the friction would just rub the plasti-dip off or deform it and make it look bad. What do y'all think? I guess I could always dip that part first and do some experimental conversions.

I was considering vinyl as well but I don't know anything about the stuff. I've heard it can be difficult and time consuming though. Plasti-dipping is pretty difficult and time consuming as well though.

I vinyl'd and it wasn't a big deal.

I left the part that is recessed in the rear (where the rear window rests) untouched. I only wrapped the raised outer trim back there so when the top is up everything is black. When the top is down, no one would really notice anyway

Nobody would notice the single strip of silver on the entire car? *Just noticed you had a grey car hah yea it probably doesn't clash as much with matte silver on grey but on my car it's gotta be black or gold

I guess I'll try dipping and if that doesn't work I'll give vinyl a shot.
