Frozen Bluetooth / iDrive in 2006 E90

Wondering how rare this problem occurs. Its only happened to me a few times, but wondering what to expect.

Bluetooth completely unresponsive. Soft reset with volume and eject buttons doesn't solve this. Car has to be locked until it completely puts the iDrive into hibernation to reset.

Anyone know if upgrading to the latest version of iDrive for this system will solve the problem?

I had almost the same issue yesterday.
Maybe not the same as yours, but similar. I push "Start" button and it's crank one and stop - all lights go on but engine was not started. I pushed again and engine start, but after few sec I got message "Please insert Navigation DVD!" . CD and BT Phone connection was not working. I eject navigation DVD and insert back - same message. Then on red light I put car on parking and perform iDrive reset - same. Next traffic lite I just shot down car and restarted again after few sec - everything get back to the normal - Navigation working, phone get connected and CD start playing. Don't know what tell you - a little scary episode.

I watch your video one more time. Not sure if this is related - I see some times freezing on my screen when phone connected and phone book uploaded to car memory. During this time - nothing can be selected on iDrive.
