Find tweaks and tips for BMW 3 series

I purchased a BMW 3 series guess its an E90 model.

I wonder if there is a way for me to make a few tweaks i.e. the interior lights i tried to change to a different colour but when i start the car they switch off after 4 seconds according to BMW its illegal to do this and its not possible??

So anything along these lines would be great to know.

hmm, good question I know of no "proper" way to do this, not that it doesn't exist...

You might be able to simply buy coloured bulbs/leds ?

Or even some sort of gel coat for the inside of the housing, similar to the stuff the Maxpower posse use on the inside of their indicator lenses, that might work.

Didn't know it was illigal, doubt it somehow
