Charged with stunt driving.

Got charged with stunt driving cause they apparently said I drifted a corner. Said he heard my tires chirp that's his justification for towing me. Now my car is in the impound. I viewed my dashcam and it doesn't even show that I drift at all.

Anyone ever been charged with that?

Pretty sure I can get the charge dropped. Just scared the car will be messed around with at the impound lot.

I guess you could get charged with wreck less driving, but what is "stunt driving" anyway? What an asshole of a cop, could have just given you a ticket or something all you did was take a corner quickly

Wow that's really gay. What area were you in? Did you get the officer's name? Did he try to book you for speeding too? Good you had the dashcam, that footage will probably be your way out of this.

Pretty much just make the argument that the corner/turn was poorly lit or some shit or reflections of street lights in your windshield made it hard to see and you misjudged the sharpness of the turn lol, so you had to take it a little bit harder than expected, and your tires just slipped a bit.

stunt runt

Dash cam is your best bet, it WILL show clearly as for your innocence or....
Good luck with it, I realllllllly like when a regular chap, wins against the distorted system, which is NOT teaching you at all as a driver, but punishes you in financial sense ????????? No one ever will be able to prove that handing a fine ( monetary penalty, points, insurance raised inflated premiums ) will get anybody to slow down, or drive speed limit.
The idea of a fine is a prescribed $ value which you the driver will be able to pay as you go, and keep you scared ( not educated ), that is it.
There are few ways to make people keep the speed limit;
one is to make cars NOT able to go above speed limit,
the other make a speeding fine $1,000,000 ( no one ever would even dare to try )
make people educated to drive faster, and yes it works ! Look at Europe, I'm not even saying Germany, Look anywhere for that matter, France, Holland, Belgium, Poland ( highway 140 km/h )

Sorry, I just got may be a bit of topic, but ....

There's a lot of variables at play here. First, sliding into a turn witnessed by an officer is pretty stupid on your part. Why would the cop lie that you drifted when you say you didn't?The screeching tires and the rapid acceleration is compelling evidence against you. Your little spy cam will not hold up as it's inconclusive. Aka...It doesn't prove you didn't swerve into the turn as the camera is pointing forward. The turning motion was rearward not forward. Secondly, How do you know you can get the charge dropped? Do you have a relative in Toronto's finest? If not, consider yourself one of the people crossed off on Karma's to do list. Btw- you sounded like a tit when you called in the "black lady DUI".

Anytime you chirp your tires, it's considered stunting. They will charge you for that if they hear it.

This has nothing to do with karma, and he did the right thing by reporting a drunk idiot on the road that could have killed someone.... However, if he himself just got busted for DUI, that you could call karma....

Fight the charge !

Actually, OP is very good in fighting all types of HTA charges. You should read his blogs over at Red Flag Deals.com

He and his buddies are pretty well known in the YRP force.
