Can I drill out my front suspension alignment pins?

I need to get an alignment done and those two pins are in my way. I used a 3mm allen key but both pins stripped so I tried my vise grips. I could not get a proper hold onto the pin so I am asking, can drill out the pins?

The car would be jacked up when this would happen.

Thanks.

You shouldn't need to drill 'em out. Loosen the nuts holding the strut in place so you can unload the pin (which is likely jammed against the sheetmetal). The pin is threaded, so be sure that while you're pulling on it (with channel locks or vice grips) that you're also unscrewing.

Best of luck.

You can cut a slot into the pins with a dremel... then use a flat head screwdriver.

All of those work, but especially the point about loosening the three nuts holding the tophat in place. Once you do that and the car is jacked up you can loosen them with vise grips easily.

Front tires off off (new tires) so I tried again. I previously tried to drill them out but I stopped before I completed anything. I used a dremel today and the pin moves but it just spins. The 3 tower bolts are loosened so the pin is free to move.

Why is it spinning? I haven't tried the other side because the brace is in the way.

It's spinning because you've knocked it loose. Just grab it with pliers, channel locks, or vise grips and pull it out now.
