Wheel gap
I'm new to the 335xi and was wondering if I get a set of 18 or 19s to replace my 17s will that reduce my wheel gap by 1 or 2 inches respectively? Or will the wheel gap remain unchanged, or slightly reduced? This is assuming I use the recommended tire sizes.
Thinking if getting a VMR wheel or some sort of csl style replicas. Thanks. |

It will not reduce the wheel gap by 2 inches. The gap will remain essentially the same, but it will most likely look bigger. Larger wheels tend to accentuate any wheel well gap.

Low is relative. I have Eibach Pro w/Koni Sport (just installed in May), and I feel that I am too low (IMO) for the roads here in New England during the winter time, while others feel it's just right. Contemplating changing back to stock springs or coilovers...

For the common sizes there is a slight difference in diameter (see below), going from 17 to 19 you will barely notice. Don't worry about being too low on 19", 19's actually raise the car 1/4" and decrease wheel gap 1/4", a double benefit.
225/45/17 - Diameter 25.0" 225/40/17 - Diameter 25.2" 235/35/19 - Diameter 25.5"
