Question about ED and price
I am going to place an order for ED this week. My question is: this is pretty much a set price right? There's no negotiating on price ED since its already heavily discounted right?

not true, i got $1500 off of ED MSRP. Most people say the best way to go about it is to negotiate the price as though you are buying the car with normal delivery. Once that is done, Say you want to do ED. Thats how I did it, although not on purpose.. I was going to get the car through normal delivery and before I signed I realized I wanted to do ED.

I've always heard that ED cars do not come from a dealer's allocation so they might be more willing to deal on them. But I e-mailed several dealers and all were willing to sell at the same price regardless of ED or US delivery.
To answer your question, ED is definitely negotiable.

Don't base the price you're negotiating on the ED MSRP. Find out the ED Invoice price as well as ED Invoice price for options, and negotiate from there. You will save the most money that way. Bimmerfest has an ED forum devoted just for this, and has alot of facts and documents for you to sift through as well.

My understanding is that you start with the ED "base price", which is about $3k less than the ED "MSRP" posted on the BMWUSA web site, then add options, tax, title, license, and a dealer profit of between $500 and $1,500.

Base your offer on ED INVOICE, not ED MSRP and definently NOT in relationship to the US MSRP. Go here and read: http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index...opean_Delivery
