Wanna race audi r8?!!!

Hey guys i'm still waiting my fbo setup for my 335xi 6spm, but already getting to race some fast cars like merc sl55 and audi r8 v10?
My neighbour just bought an Audi R8 V10 and want to race with me.
FBO + E85 is any chance i'll be close with r8v10?
Anyone raced with r8???

From a standing start he will probably get you if any good at using the launch control, the awd system is really good and the car is lighter and has more tire - those things are in the mid 3's to 60, FBO you are probably in the mid to low 4's. 1/4 mile you probably will also get beat, stock it is high 11's low 120's which is a really fast FBO 335ix.

Basically you can surprise the hell out of him by giving him a really good run though and if he isn't ready for you, you might get lucky - either way you spent 100+k less to be almost as fast - just don't bet your car on winning (or anything else!)

I don't think the r8 owner is worried about the extra $100k lol

I would focus on the V8 R8. The V10 is pretty damn fast. And another thing, Don't race Bolt-On GT-Rs, you WILL lose. I know from experience!

I am sure he isn't, but it is nice being almost as fast when you don't have the money - unfortunately, no one will even notice the E92 when the R8 is there!

Sounds about right to me. Dipping into 11s with XI is no joke. But you'll give him a good run, I bet he'll be surprised. It won't be a disaster, and your 3 series will be hanging with a V10 supercar. Try running him in the winter when you can better manage CATs and you could have a shot at it.

Just don't mess with GTRs period, they never leave them stock. Stupid fast cars.

Id get ms109 race gas instead of e85...you need all the help you can get lol.
Make sure your tune is running spot on and on a roll on you should get the jump since we have much more torque, but after that he will eventually pull.

They put about 470WHP down but they dont have as much torque at around Mid 350-360.

They weigh about 50-100lbs less then your typical 335i.

I would imagine you may be able to get the slightest jump on a 40 roll but it should reel you back in unless you start making over 470WHP. I wouldn't put money on it unless you have upgraded turbo's.

I would hope so!

For that much money why dont you just give the guy $1000 to purposely lose though it would be the cheaper route to go

With upgraded turbos you could bet on your car winning, at least in 1/2 mile. From experience
