Volume adjustment for DVDs?

Not sure if this goes in coding or electronic section, but I'll post here.

I've been traveling a lot lately, so I pop in DVDs with DVD in motion

When I switch back to music or the radio it BLASTS because the DVD volume is really really soft and quiet. Can I just adjust the DVD volume?

I believe our player can only play two audio channels. Thats why it has a lower volume. Dont think coding would help.
