SES light came on

If any members could help me obtain these for my review.

I have the OEM Gold Extended Warranty and none of this is covered per my dealer.

I just paid the dealer $141.44 for a code read diagnostic.

What is the basis for them denying your claim?

I was told none of these items are covered under your warranty. My car has 80k miles.

So you have the check engine light but the dealer did not cite the codes they pulled? All the document indicated is a need for DDE reprogramming?

Sounds like you are missing a lot of details here.

Note, DDE reprogramming was part of an emissions campaign released in 2012. If your car was not updated you may still qualify under the terms of the campaign. Look for the sticky at the top of this site.

My dealer is terrible. Im glad I bought my car while in iraq. I would never take anything from their showfloor. Sadly its the closest to my house.

the error I was told was due to the injectors bla bla zero adaptation fault bla bla.

If the problem require reprogramming the DDE, this means the initial code in the DDE is the problem. Software do not wear out. They should not charge for fixing something that they not do right the first time.

To solve the zero adaptation problem on my 335d, they reprogrammed my DDE.

May I ask the mileage on your car when you had zero adaptation problem fixed?

For me, its because I am under the gold oem extended warranty now and have 80k.

Well. My car doesnt qualify for the campaign.

Because when the VIN is put in, it shows no recalls required per customer relations. I have never had the egr valve inspected nor replaced. I dont have the hood label either. Mine is 11/10 production purchased through bmw military sales.

I had about 43K miles when re-programmed. I think I have around 46K now.

gold includes all the powertrain warranty plus some other stuff right? How would injectors and/or DDE not be covered under the powertrain warranty? I would take it to another dealer

Thanks, well I got my money refunded for the "diagnosis".

The DDE has not been reprogrammed because it is not covered and I wont pay $1000 to do it. The but the engine light went off, came back on, now off again.

Waiting for a return call from Customer Relations.

I currently have 82,000 miles on the car with BMW Gold Extended Warranty.
