Damaged sill when jacking

So yesterday I planned to put my car on bricks/axle stands so that I could take my alloys to be powder coated. Well this happened:

Thankfully its only small, could have been a lot worse. Still, its taken a triangular shaped chunk right out of the plastic sill. Can be seen when standing at a distance, & ofc my eyes go straight there

how did you do that? the jacking point is a nice big rubber block?

Yeah, but you can't leave the car on one jack. Once you've jacked it up you need to put a stand under the sill beside the jack, both for safety and so you can use the jack on the next corner.

I used some pieces of 2x1 I found in the garage and put them between the axle stands and the sill - not ideal but did the job.

Or use a piece of MDF block cut to size.

No no no!

Jack under the central jacking point, then axles stands on the sill jacking points. The sill pieces are plastic and not designed to support the vehicle..
