N52 Race Cars - RMP | Turner

Hi Guys,

I thought maybe we could start a thread to chronicle the different E9X race cars out there and find out more about what has been done. I have been really intrigued by the RMP motors cars. They even have a 2.5 version. Anyways, here are some videos I found. Please share videos and pictures and give us info if you have it.

I have nothing to contribute but these N52 Race Cars sound amazing, off topic but I wonder what i'd have to do to get my car to sound like the one mapleridge linked other than headers and delete all cats? i'm guessing.

In truth they're really N54 race cars, to get that sound you're better off trading up to a 335.

these are N52 Race Cars hence the thread title? and your wrong, you don't need a 335 to get that kind of sound

I'm about to prove you wrong, this isn't a 335 and listen to how it sounds

The craziest car is the 320si. 4 cylinder engine making 280bhp. It must weigh nothing too. That would be a dream to drive. I mainly started this thread so we can see how light our cars can get and what these guys are doing so maybe we can replicate it on some scale. There isn't much info out there. Anyways. Keep it alive people.

Yeah, with my listed cosmetic mods, I believe I may have lost at most 70lbs. of OEM weight. Going to get my car weighed eventually. Once I replace it with a 5er when the kiddies are older I'm going to strip my E90 of the usless junk.

This winter they made new motor (in your pics above) they make 280+ WHP now!!!!!!!

The 220 HP was with oem computer and stock head (I confirm with RMP)

N52 FTW!

Thanks for the info. If you talk to them again please ask what they did exactly to get that increase. I will update the first post with the new whp. That is truly impressive. I'd also like to know how they shaved so much weight off the car. I also know they have a 2.5L n52. I wonder what that puts down.

Not a race car, my car is fairly stock for competing in AmaterCup (CR). I have N53B30 engine with software from DS Motorsport, Supersprint exhaust, SPEC kevlar clutch and 3.46 dif. Front and rear suspension is from M3 with Bilstein B16 and BMW Performance brakes.

Nice I bought the performance brake calipers in the rears. still need the fronts. Have you dyno'd after all your mods?

DS Motorsport dyno’d the car after the ECU mod. Since then I added BMW Performance airbox and Supersprint exhaust without secondary cats. I’m planning to remove primary cats and dyno it again.

N53 is basically same as N52 except the DI and it doesn’t have valvetronic. It has better airbox and exhaust manifold. With some mods you can get over 300 hp.
