Custom Exhaust project, opinions welcome

Decided to do a custom exhaust as I can't find one I like the sound of. I was thinking of doing the Meisterscraft 1 & 2 (with resonators where secondary cats would be, instead of in the tail section like I currently have) which replaces the piping from Dps to stock muffler. I do not have the stock muffler and will be doing a muffler delete with this and will have to fab the pipe from section two to the tips.
My current set up is fully catless with muffler delete and dual vibrant resonators in the tail section. With the resonators being in the tail section of my current set up, I don't think that's helping with my rasp. I was seriously considering having four resonators. Two in the mid-pipes and two in the tail section. A member here also mentioned possibly resonated tips.
For the tips, I was going to go with the burnt titanium. I'd prefer a slip-on but I'm having trouble finding any.
I know the exhaust won't give me any more power, this is more just for sound and quality - my oem exhaust is just too cut up now. LOL

Any opinions / advice appreciated and let me know if you agree with the placement of the resonators.

For the price it would be cheaper to buy an eBay exhaust and modify it to your liking. Saving nearly $700 in the process.

Muffler deletes just do not sound good on our cars. What is it that you're trying to achieve? What do you want out of your exhaust?

Have you thought about using a resonated x-pipe? On my other car, I replaced the x-pipe and resonators in an Invidia exhaust. It reduced the drone quite a bit. It also helped with the rasp, but there wasn't that much to begin with on that car.

Rob I think because you have the resonators at the back is why you have the rasp.

My setup is identical to yours except I have my resonators in place of the secondary cats and I only get rasp at 6000rpm+

is what I needed to know, I will take them out and put them where my secondaries were and see how it sounds. do you think X pipe will help with the rasp also?

does anyone here know where to get slip on 4" burnt titanium tips? I like weld on but they do not offer any adjustments.

the new piping I am looking at has a X-pipe but I do not know if it is resonated.

I second that as well.... I have a buddy with your exact setup minus brakes, diff lockdown kit and a couple other things but is on RB's AR downpipes, and cut the secondaries out and placed the "quiet vibrant resonators" (they have a super quiet, quiet ect..) and straight pipes all the way back with muffler delete...He has a very very slight rasp at 2200-2400rpm's but nothing like I just heard. I really think it makes a difference where they are placed for sound quality and where the secondaries go is kinda a perfect place.

I was an idiot and did the Akropovic setup downpipes back which was a WAIST of money IMHO.. Dont get me wrong, it does sound good but not for the money I paid. I can do exactly what you did or my buddy actually and get similar results without the money I spent :-/

Oh well lesson learned

I saw your post a while back and you literally save me $2800 lol! So do the regular vibrant resonators still perform close to the "quite" ones? Do they obstruct flow at all our is us just more packing.

I actually had it sounding pretty good, took out the secondaries and it induced rasp. I like the spool up better and will not put them back in.

In the pic you have, that x pipe isn't resonated. Resonated x pipe looks almost like a muffler. Look up magnaflow resonated x pipes. Its what I used and a big improvement over the original x pipe plus resonators that I used. My other car has a vq35 and those motors rasp like crazy with aftermarket exhausts.

I think they're piping allows for removal of the X-pipe V-band. I will look into this for sure.

Why don't you put the resonators you have where the secondaries are and try these ultra quiet resonators where your mufflers should be? They are $100 each from vibrant. I'm thinking about doing this myself actually. I'd really like to quiet down my cold starts in the morning.
