Has anyone modified an M3 exhaust to fit a diesel?
As above, has anyone modified an M3 exhaust to fit a diesel?
I have a 2007 320D and I've seen a cheap Milltek M3 exhaust for sale, wondering if there's any way I could make it fit and also any ideas about what it would sounds like due to the totally different engine? Thanks! ![]() |

Waste of money making it fit.

Cheaper and easier to go with a modified exhaust with M3 like tips than trying to fit the whole M3 exhaust...
At that point, you're going for looks. M3 exhaust will provide you no performance gains (it may even hurt it a bit) |

in most (possibly all?) states its not "legal" on anything, no difference between diesel and gas. Now, if you are running a DPF and cat, you can almost certainly get away with straight pipes since they obviously wont be checking for a muffler on a car that is quiet.

The OP is not in the US (he has a '07 320d.) So most people here probably don't have enough knowledge to say what is legal or not for him.
It's likely (as others have said) that no performance gains will be acheived. Nevertheless, there are several ways to get the look of a quad exhaust - the OP should Google for M3 Quad Exhaust to find options. The cheapest is something that fits under the existing bumper, next includes M3 replica bumper. |
