New to me E92
Well after having 'some time off' from driving I was back on the road this morning after picking up my company car. Big step up from my previous E82 in terms of size and quality. It's on a 60 plate and with only 27k miles...
As this is a company car I don't plan on doing anything too big but my planned mods so far are: Add tweeters to front and get Pro head unit coded Possibly blaupunkt or alpine upgrade (would like to buy SH so please let me know if anyone is selling?) Rear window tint to OEM level (does anyone know what % this is?) Spacers - what were BMW thinking when it came to offsets!?! SSDD M3 rep painted spoiler Any other coding tweaks that can be recommended? First thing I did this morning was give her a good wash and wax as she'd been sat under trees for a few months and really needed some love! Before... During... After... And here's one of our other WIP just for the hell of it...

Awesome. Lovely car you have there, grey on red leather is a winning combo. Not sure on the OEM % tint but I would like to know myself, the rear windows seem to have a slight tint anyway?

So my E92 spent the day at Vines yesterday for some warranty items. Shadow chrome trim on off side replaced due to corrosion. New kidney grills due to corrosion. New number plates due to de-lamination. New wheel caps due to corrosion.
It's going back for a new rear MV3 wheel due to a hair line crack (great news as that wheel is badly scuffed all round) and they're replacing the drivers seat leather on the back and the base due to wear! Really making the most of the remaining warranty and so far very impressed with the service given by Vines, Guildford! After all that the only thing to do was give both our cars a good clean last night! Loving this weather and the light evenings at the moment And the view I was greated by this morning before I left for work

Thanks guys, really pleased with her so far! I too have been less than impressed with Vines in the past but due to my circumstances I don't have much choice at the moment. Luckily they seem to be redeeming themselves so far
So far I've de-badged the rear and added L7 tweeters - fitting really couldn't be easier and the tweeters really help the audio. Music comes alive and there is plenty of detail - I hadn't realised how much was missing with the stock 6 speaker set up! If you have the stock set up don't think twice, get the tweeters ordered and start enjoying your music again!!! Next month should see a M3 rep lip spoiler (the £50 eBay job) in matching space grey and September will see spacers for the rear and maybe the front! Will keep this thread updated with my progress

Lovely looking car
I fitted 12mm spacers to the rear of my car and it badly upset the handling. I've since fitted 12mm to the front and it now feels so much nicer again. Also looks better than just doing the rears |

Thanks chaps
I work in specification sales for a leading commercial lighting manufacturer. We do get nice cars (some nicer than others - it's all about how well your face fits at the end of the day). BMW company cars are quite usual here in the UK and seem to have replaced the Fords and Vauxhals that were the standard years ago. Still bloody expensive though... I don't know how you guys in the US can seemingly afford them so easily! My wife and I seriously stretched ourselves to buy the Audi! To help put it in perspctive - my cars purchase price (as new) is not too far off what my basic salary is for a year!
