320d exhaust / back box options?
Hello gents,
What are the options on an as oem as possible fit, look and sound back box that looks as if it's always been there back box? I hate the turn down tip on my 320d and need a different box but want to fit up and look totally oem. Full 330d exhaust, 330d back box? Other options. Really don't want to to look like a hack and bodge weld job either.. Thanks |

Might I suggest one of these.
It's a complete silencer and costs about £200 and is made by a company called BCS. Don't be expecting any extra noise from any silencer you buy as there is very little noise difference without a silencer fitted at all.

i got myself a full 330D exhaust system for 100quid off a breaking car on ebay.
not fitted it yet, but will be getting my car de-catted and get the decat made up to match the larger bore of the 330 exhaust. been quoted 210quid for the de-catted downpipe, fitting and fitting of the system by a place in fife |

Not the prettiest I suppose but what other options are there. These are made to fit the 320 etc so a good fit. It's expensive enough for nothing more than a visual upgrade but they do occasionally come up for sale second hand plus you can always sell it again when your finished with it.

Good stuff. On a side note. Have fitted my silencer to my last two e9x and the difference between the quality of the standard exhaust on the bm compared to when I cut the pipe on her focus rs to fit a mongoose exhaust was night and day. The ford was like tin foil

On mine had the mid section removed and replaced with straight through pipe unrestriced (so no mid box or size reduction like in OEM) then at back fitted a BCS backbox with the new rolled ends.
Details in this link http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=exhaust End result very pleases has removed a lot of back pressure engine revs and runs smoother and about 2.5k rpm it sounds very nice even on idle it has a slight rumble If you dont mind the drive I suggested getting in touch with the guys at BCS in liverpool and going up to them top blokes and great quick service they can do the lot of you.
