Just got my ST coilovers installed.

Got the car back yesterday. It was lowered about 3/4" lower than my stock sport suspension. I have 87k miles on my 330i and the sport suspension was getting soft. The car was making swooshing noise from front struts when going over speed bumps, curbs and was leaning really hard on off-ramps. Well, not anymore. It is a more firm ride but far from harsh. It is still quite comfortable but MUCH more responsive. Just lowering it 3/4" makes a huge difference in how it looks. It looks like the rear sits a bit lower than the front but I think it's an optical illusion because of the rear wheel factory offset. I need spacers. I waited until the suspension was installed before I measured, it looks like it will easily fit 20mm on the rear and 12mm on the front, maybe even 15mm in the front. It needed this for a LONG time. My last lowered vehicle was a slammed 1983 Nissan truck I had back in 1991, it was a full inch lower than this and rode horribly.

I didn't mean to be so flippant... I was merely recommending them as they do make a hugh difference and will set your car apart from all the pre-lci e90's buzzing around. Personally I think the stock oem tails on the pre-lci e90 are the worst cosmetic part of the car. The blacklines give the car a wider looking stance from the rear and will go nicely with your black grill.

Good luck with coil overs they are supposed to be very good.

PS - I too am a fan of the de-badged look on this car - really cleans up the lines.

Very sharp 330! Nice to see more around.

Don't waste time with the spacers, just get new rims!

I'm on staggered 18x8.5 front, 9.5 rear with 255/35 up front and 265/35 in the rear (Mich PSS). No rubbing at all.

Ha, as if it were that easy. Maybe one day. I'm actually fond of my 162's. I know they are not as nice as some aftermarkets but they are damn good for factory

I got ya, yeah, they are crappy looking tails. Blacklines are pretty sweet and not too expensive. Just ordered my Burger Tuning spacers. I pulled the 330i badges off a while back, I HATE polishing around them.

Yup, I agree. They do look nice, but they are HEAVY!!!
I went with wider wheels all around vs. the stock 162 (8.5 vs. 8 front and 9.5 vs. 8.5 rear) along with the wider tires and I still dropped 10lbs per wheel/tire combo. With our NA engines and not a ton of torque, this is a performance part that you will feel under acceleration, cornering and braking.
Just a thought.

Yeah, but they are kinda low on my list. Family of 4 demands money to be spent elsewhere. I only got the coilovers because I needed them.
