Cobb or JB4?

Cobb or JB4? I love the accessibility of the Cobb but the price of the JB4 is attractive.

What are the differences in power output/change? I plan on buying the intake and putting either tune in..but probably going to keep the rest stock. I have the N55 engine and my ride is an 11' e90 M sport. I might get the performance exhaust but we'll see.

I think the COBB maps are still in beta so we're not sure what the final product will behave like. Right now, the maps are a bit... iffy. I've had some problems with boost oscillation and turbo lag, but I'd expect those to be cleared up in the final product. JB4 is probably more "ready" for prime time at this stage. I enjoy the COBB but it's annoying that it's been out for almost 7 months and there's no stage 2+ map yet.

Good thread. Sure glad after years of these products being available someone decided to finally make a thread about it...

I'd go to a thread I didn't like to educate someone if it meant they'd stop making blatantly common threads about stuff answered a hundred times over.

Then try the SEARCH button. It'll save you loads of trouble.

COBB. Although I do have a N54 but I believe it's a more flexible tune with the pro tuning options. Plus the resale value will get you close to your initial investment if you decide to ever sell.

What's the point of a forum if everyone uses search. People like you make bimmerpost a dread to ask questions.

And people like you and OP clutter up message boards and piss off people that have the basic forum comprehension to utilize a search function. Stop being lazy, stop annoying members that actually make a valid input into the community, and seek and ye shall find. Whiner.

Yeah, okay asshole. We all share something in common...we love BMW's, stop being a dick and if you have nothing to contribute, don't say anything.

Okay... no. How could it possibly clutter up the message boards when there is only, lets say 20, threads per page. Regardless how many threads I start, the board wont be cluttered. If people want there thread to the top, they can just bump it.

I will still not utilize the search function, it will by no means answer my question as well as a fellow board member.

whiner? come on. Who's whining? Quit complaining then buddy.

I agree with the jb4, it's installed and everything seems to work well. A few bugs need to be worked out though. Check my thread!
