What car should I get?
So as I'm sure you can tell I'm new to the forums here. I've been lurking but finally made an account! So I have this 2012 G37 sedan with about 30k miles on it. I love the car but I need just a little more power. I came to the conclusion that I will get an x35i, but not sure 1 3 or 5. I'm leaning towards the 335i coupe or the 535i. I would also add a JB4 and DCI. I don't need the sedans space but wouldn't mind it at all, I just want to have a fun car but also a dd. what do you guys think? I'm pretty young so I'm leaning towards the coupe but I do love the looks of the 5 too! I'm going to test drive both but I am 6'4 and still might have another inch or 2 in me if headroom would be an issue. I'd love to hear all your suggestions. Thanks!

What years are looking at ? Both are sick cars. The 2013 335xi Msport sedan, is sick ..saw an article on forums, that the MPerformance kit through BMW that adds 20whp 30 torque is putting the 335 sedan at 0-60 4.4 seconds .. So imagine what a Jb4 and other mods will do. The 3 coupe unless youll have to buy whatever the dealers have left or used, being cant build anymore as the 4 coupe is now starting production. which gonna be an amazing car also. The 535 is def a sick car, totally different feel and style. If your young want to have fun I would say 335 coupe 435 coupe or 335 sedan. Msport of course. Not sure your budget... But the 650 grand coupe .. Is a ridiculous car ! Really quick, handles amazing, nice size ESP for your height and comfy..

I'm obviously biased, but in my opinion there's just nothing quite like a 335 coupe. I've never been a fan of any cars with 4 doors. In fact, that's part of what turned me on to BMW in the first place. Not everybody makes a coupe, and I liked BMW's a lot more than the TTS I drive previously. I intentionally avoided x drive because I wanted the sportier suspension and stance. I drive in a very snowy area, and have done just fine with RWD and snow tires (hey, it snows in Germany right?)
The E92 335 is an awesome car, and I have no regrets whatsoever. I would buy another one in a heartbeat of they were still in production next year. I'm not sure what my next car will be (I expect to be on the market again next year) but at the moment I'm thinking E92 M3. |

thanks for the info and I would be buying a used car from 2010 probably(my fault for not saying anything). but would the 535i (2010) still give a thrill with acceleration and not feel too big on turns?

The 5 series put more emphasis on luxury than sport. It's basically a matter of which you prefer.

Since you want a fun to drive DD I suggest 335 over 5 series. As you stated you don't really need the extra room and want a car that is fun to drive im sure the 335 is much more fun to drive than the 5

You will have plenty of space in the 3 series. I'm 6'6 right now and, although I have the seat all the way down and all the way back, I have no problems with my head rubbing, unless I try to make it rub.
