Calling BMWNA About Fuel Injectors

For those of us who have had Fuel Injector issues, make sure to call BMW of North America and issue a complaint.

This way they have a record of what the problem is and possibly fixing it or giving us a bit more warranty on the fuel injector.

I agree that everyone should do this. Unfortunately, I think BMW just dropped the ball and made bad batches of cars and we are the unlucky ones.

I have had surprisingly ! same fuels injectors replaced within 1 week timeframe between two different dealerships.

I have had the mysterious ZERO ADAPTATION SES LIGHT that comes and goes every couple hundred miles. Have yet to find pattern.

Dealer wants lots of money to reprogram DDE. After some research on this forum and other forums the solution seems to be Replace DDE.

If I get thuis issue I will definetely contact Shop manager here in Puerto Rico and have him go to BMWoA and pursue this crap cause he happens to be my mechanics best friend

Like every manufacturer they track all warranty work so they know if the problem is statistically significant. In addition since there isn't a safety issue unlike the HPFP on N54 equipped cars you will never see a recall along with an extended warranty.

I have yet to see failure rates approaching that of the HPFP N54 fiasco.

DDE seems to be the ticket.

Although calling BMW may do some good, there's another thing to do that might be better, especially if BMW stonewalls on the DDE/Carbon buildup issues.

Go to nhtsa.gov and file a complaint. I would file two - one for the injectors/DDE, and one for carbon buildup (assuming you have both.)
