Would any of you be able to tell me the problem here?

So I bought this updated look shift knob from Bimmian. It comes with the knob and a wiring harness. The harness is color coded to help with connecting the power to the knob and relaying the power from the stock gear selecter.

Anyway as you can tell, the Orange lights on the knob that illuminate all the letters on the left is not on. The green light does work 100% in showing the correct gear. On the stock selecter, multiple lights are illuminated. When I change gears, it goes in between different combinations lit up gears. When I connect it the way it is stock, the lights work fine.

Is it the knob or the wiring harness? I am definitely connecting everything right.

I have no experience with this at all but i just want to point out that it reminds me of Dr. scholls but for your hands :]
