335 Coupe,Convertible prices now?

For anyone who has recently purchased an '07 or '08 335 Coupe or Convertible, what price were you able to get? In Southern California (specifically Orange County) one dealer still has coupes on the lot marked up $2500 and convertibles marked up $5000. To me, this is pretty unreasonable. I am very interested in buying a 335 within the coming year, but am in no big hurry. If I do get in contact with a local dealer, I would like to have some idea what dealers elsewhere are charging for these cars - marking them up still, or anyone getting them under MSRP. Thanks for any info!!

When you say marked up $2500 and $5000, are you meaning over sticker or invoice. If it's over sticker, that's not reasonable. Here in Florida, Coupes and Convertibles are highly sought after. My dealer never had a single coupe or convertible you could just walk in and purchase. If you wanted one (I wanted them both) you gave a deposit and ordered what you wanted. And they threw a few extra's in, but didn't really come off sticker, nor go over sticker.

The $2500 Coupe/$5000 Vert mark-up is over MSRP! A friend who ordered an early production '07 335 Coupe actually got the same dealer to go around $500 under MSRP, but I see these mark-ups on the cars sitting on their lot right now.

Paying MSRP is ridiculous enough. Find a dealer who will do closer to invoice.

From my experience buying 2 BMWs here and from reading over these forums, it seems like you almost have to divide the country into SoCal and the rest of the US when it comes to defining a good price. There seems to be a premium here that the dealers can get away with, which is surprising given there are probably 10 within 30 miles of me. I suppose it's demand driven.

Just check out what the spoiled princesses of the OC are driving and there's your answer why.

Fully loaded MSRP 60K

I am waiting anxiously for my 08 convertible. It has almost every option and the MSRP is almost 61K. The selling price with everything was $58,100. Somewhere around $2500 off MSRP.

Probably a good price for the east coast. I imagine the west coast prices or Florida are higher. It is the end of convertible season, so most dealers should be willing to deal a bit more in the NE, though the argumanet was made that with a hardtop/convertible it is a four season car (unless it snows, then it is a stay in the garage vehicle).

I always like to know that I got a decent price, but I think overall we're all pretty lucky to be driving these cars and in the end the difference of a few hundred or even thousand dollars more or less will be more than made up for in the pure fun we get out of them.
