Another question about Remapping through OBD-II

So. The understanding in this forum is that we can not remap the 335D (US models) because the new US ECU's have some sort of security protocol preventing us from changing items in the ECU.

I was under the understanding this was the case with both the M57 (M57TU2D30-TOP) US ECU as well as the N55 US engines.

If I am mistaken, and it is JUST the 335d that is blocked for remapping, then this thread can be deleted.

However, if I am right in the understanding, how is COBB remapping n55s?

as I beleive and can attest as I did my flash for my D at RENNtech(we had to crack open the ECU) the DIESELS are encrypted dont know if the N55's are but I believe so

My thoughts exactly. However COBB is remapping the N55, if that is encrypted as well, maybe they figured it out?

I just can't get anyone to confirm if that is encrypted or not.
