I am almost 100% sure this car is the one that came from my friend's parkade here in Calgary. We had that massive flood and it was parked in the parkade. He said the water didn't go into the engine? That car was fully submerged for almost 3 weeks.

CANADIAN RENEWAL 06/01/2013 AB Motor Vehicle Dept. CANADIAN RENEWAL 07/11/2013 AB Motor Vehicle Dept. UNREBUILDABLE so this was the "one" in Calgary..... I can't believe the dude is saying that no water got into the engine if it is the one that was submerged. I figured with as little 1M's as there are in existence, someone would have the details...

Yes, this must be the one that came from the Union Square Condos - 215 13th Avenue SW, Victoria Park, Calgary Alberta. I suppose there could be a possibility there was another orange 1M that was flooded, a lot of high end areas in Calgary were hit. The chances are very slim.
It parks on P2. Water was halfway up on P1. It was not emptied untill almost three weeks later. A 2012 135i was on P3 that was also submerged and totalled. There will be mold in this car, not to mention the rust. Can't believe he's saying it's not been flooded into the engine? Look at how dirty the WHOLE car is. It was submerged! Those pics are in the same lot the 135i was in from the same building. Not a pretty site!

Wow, submerged for 3 weeks would be completely crap. It could be rebuilt, but you would have to take everything completely apart, dry, change fluids and damaged parts etc... Electrical stuff would be a nightmare. The only good use for this car is a donor car as you will not be able to title it in any way, hence he bought it for parts. This car would be a good fit if you had a rebuildable 1M to begin with (title and frame wise) and use parts from this one, but not at this price.
Looks like it was bought here http://impactauto.ca/ , just google the vin#. |

Wow, that is a big red flag there. Most likely car looks like complete crap, so he might not even used the current picture (that pic looks like it is from an auction). He is probably in the process of cleaning it up / hiding all the flood mold and that is the reason he would not want anyone to see it in current state.
