Turn In Concepts has offered to do a group event in the Metro Detroit area for walnut blasting on 135 and 335 vehicles. For those that are , please read this extremely thorough walnut shell blasting thread with pictures. If you have an N54, especially one with 50k+ miles, it's highly advised.

Kent and Tony from TIC would make the trip up here with all necessary tools and do the service over a weekend. We start Saturday AM and finish Sunday. It takes approximately 2-ish hours per car with Kent breaking down bays for Tony to blast.

Walnut Blasting: $300
OFHG Replacement: $75 (If done while Walnut Blasting)
OFHG Replacement without Walnut Blasting: $200 (N52/N54/N55)
Charge Pipe Install: $50 ($25 if done while walnut blasting)
OCC Install: $50
Coil Packs/Plugs Install: $40
Fender Rolling: $30 Per Corner
PCV Install: $25 (RB PCV's are available for an additional cost)

Everyone that has PM'd in their email address will receive a detailed message including location, times, and most importantly how to submit your deposit. We have 12 members confirmed being blasted so we reached the $300 price point!

Those that have made time requests due to work have been noted. Kent will be working on the schedule and then we will post back via email to everyone. It is imperative that you are ON TIME for your slot so it doesn't delay those behind you, thanks

Detroit area is approx 2 hrs closer to me then Cincy.(I'm in Cleveland) 99.9% sure I can make this. Hope to see the logistics worked out soon(where?) and how is the deposit to be handled?

Thanks for putting this together Brandon!

To answer some of the questions/concerns.

1. We typically charge $400 for the WB service and $100 for the OFH Gasket if done at the same time.

2. Deposits will be required to ensure interest and follow through. However if something were to come up and the GB is cancelled we will be more than happy to refund deposits.

3. Once Brandon has a shop/garage and we have 5 interested parties I will begin accepting the deposits.

We can and have done most everything on these cars. Depending on the number of people who get in on this we will be limited in the services we can offer. If we can make a special arrangement though for changing fluid we will.

It's going to be hard to find a shop willing to do this for cheap or free. Liability wise and chance of injury is all on the business. To keep cost down this would need to be done at someone's home or at a business that doesn't understand the liability or doesn't care.

I do agree it will be challenging. I'm hoping someone in the area has a large pole barn or a small family shop they'd be willing to do this with. I contacted two more close friends, one has a building in Troy and the other in Toledo. Figured they were both worth a shot at least.
