Any opinions on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's?

Hi there,

Looking to ditch my RFT's

Tire rack has these on close out. I'm looking for high performance summer tires but need something that is useable in the wet. I will have dedicated snow tires....

I can get a set of four for under $500..

I have a 2010 335xi sedan with m sport package

Thanks for any opinions

They are a killer deal on Tire Rack right now...with rebate literally the cheapest tire you can get if you are sporting 18s.

I just had them installed and have only driven like 15 miles on them but my initial impression is they are great. I am waiting until I get a few hundred miles on them to write a review.

I am coming from Michelin PS2 runflats--the best runflats by far in my opinion--and I can definitely tell that small imperfections in the roadway are handled more smoothly.

Outstanding tires, especially for the price.

Are 225/40/18 too narrow to run on BMW 162 rims (I have a set of rims that are 8" and 8.5"). I am currently running 235/40/18 square set up on them on a 07 328xi. I use the square set up so I can rotate front to back. The 225's are on a great price right now, which is why I am asking if 225 is too narrow to run on a 8.5" rims. Thanks!

225/40R18 works just fine on the original 18X8 and 18X.5" and is actually a pretty common way to go for a square setup.

I just purchased these and received them on Wed. What a great deal!! 225/40/18 to replace the horrible oem run flats to go on some new 18" wheels.
