Water pump fail
Hi all, so I think my waterpump just failed( water temp yellow/red limp mode)I had the dealer change out my thermostat less than a month, but my warrany just expired 10 days ago.Based on your experience do you guys think that BMW would do a good will warranty? I already got a quote from a shop for 800 part included.Thanx for your input!

warranty
most manufactures warranty have a grace period where they can still get work warranted on a vehicle I would explore this option but do it quickly.

+1 ^^^ ask your dealer to do it as a "good faith gesture".

mine went out like 3 weeks ago. talk about being pissed off. 1 second the car is running hard next thing you are forced to pull over because of the limp mode. i wish our cars would give some sign of water pump failure.

My turbos went out 250 miles after warranty. They did not give me any "good faith" anything other than a good faith rape of my wallet.
My water pump went out a couple weeks ago - $500 and DIY. Not that bad of a DIY, definitely worth doing yourself since it saves you $500-$600 in labor. |
