Question N55 Injen Intake rubbing

Hi guys,
I might get more response here. Just wondering if there is a specific way I can adjust the intake without rubbing? I have tried already few ways but still not working and its getting annoying I have sprayed pasti-dip often to help protect the intake and hood but doesn't last long. Was thinking of putting some sort of a rubber in between.

why do you think it loses power... whats point of it in first place then? it only loses power if hot air travels inside the intake, what intake u recommend in that case if they all do

Rub'n under the hood - I used double sided tape - scrape foam on the hood where it would rub.

When u throttle the cone lifts up and hits the hood.
Try that - should fix ur rub'n issue.

Ziptie to hold it down or as a "buffer" between the hood and intake?

Would actually prefer BMS but I got a good deal on the Injen but maybe if I find a good deal then I will switch it.

Well, for one, it doesn't heat-soak, for two, it has proven dyno gains under WOT, for THREE it doesn't rub against my hood....I could go on...

the gains on any of the intakes are the same.
give or take a few hp.
if u stack them with a tune - then forgetabout it.

I bought and installed the hood insulation from Maranello. I'm running BMS instake, but this may help with your setup.
