Tint Scratched...

Yes I know this is a topic that has been discussed already. I'm looking for 335i e90 owners who live in Virginia, specificly in the Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, and Va Beach area who have had there windows tinted. Are your front windows tint scratched, and if so where did you get if fixed? and what type of tint are you usinig? I need a fix for this ASAP:sad0147: Getting tired of getting my windows tinted ever other month.:sad0147:

I got my windows tinted from a Chevrolet dealerships that has a company come in to only do corvettes. These guys are professionals and have been in the business for years.

My windows, every window has streaks/scratches in them. Barely noticeable from the outside and somewhat noticeable from the inside. The film they used is from SunTEK, again they use the same shit on corvettes.

I brought my car to the dealer and they said they removed every door panel and took a look at everything and told me that it's either the film is too thick and that the guys who put it on must have fucked up. They would not warranty it and wouldnt pay for the damage.

I called the guys back and the said they'd redo it for $40. I havent had time to redo it and it doesnt bother me much so I just left it alone for now. When I decide to change up the tint I will call them back and redo it.

BTW I have 15% all around.

do a search...

there are rubber guides inside the door that rub on the tint causing the scratches.

professional / bmw experienced tint guys will either line the rubber with felt (preferred) or they will just cut the rubber off.

this was the mistake of the chevy tint guys.
