Need part numbers and best prices
2006 325i
I'm looking for a couple of things, any info, DIY links, thx 1. First the front windshield moulding needs to be replaced, what's the best place to get this? Anybody have a part number for this item? Thx 2. I'm also looking for the trunk logo/badge and I keep seeing different sizes, so my question is what size is it, and what year BMW's and models are the same interchangeable? the part number would help? Thx 3. Last, where can I find a spare for the car, had run flats, now I need a spare? What BMW's have interchangeable spares? Thanks in advance for any help |

Check www.realoem.com for part numbers. Lots of websites have the roundels for around the same price but I'm not familiar with them.
BMW does have a spare tire set (check out www.getbmwparts.com) but you can get then aftermarket as well. Most people purchase that green gunk stuff that seals a leak and a portable pump.

Thx for the replies.... Thumbs up!
Well, I went out and purchased a used trunk Badge, purchased for 15$. I was assuming the grommets would be ok to reuse and they were not worn at all, and the replacement badge, squeezed in tightly. Second, I shopped around for a rim & tire, since I couldn't find a spare, and purchased a used 17" BMW rim with a good used tire for 90$. Ill have to post a picture with specs, not sure if that was a good price? Every shop was asking 150$ when I asked for a spare. So looks like ill be running around with a jack and spare rim/tire in the trunk :-) any suggestions or options at this point are welcome :-) I'm going to check that website out to find out what parts are interchangeable on which models and years, so Next step is getting info on the windshield moulding. Part and DIY.... Any help is very much appreciated. One addition thing, I have a halo light out, in the headlight, my troubleshooting will be to -take the working bulb out and -replace in the not working one, to make sure it's the bulb. Any DIY out there? Also are the bulbs all standard sizes? Autozone? |
