USB port on 2011 with nav 1 or 2 amps?

Is the USB port on a 2011 3 series with nav 1 amp or 2 amps? I'm curious because as you may know Apple uses 2 amp ports which charge phones twice as fast and BMW has a decent relationship with Apple.

If I had to guess, 0.5 amps. Maybe the F30 has 1 amp. Most definitely not 2 amps.

Cool, they actually make USB cables that have a splitter that let you provide power and data completely seperatley. I think I'm going to add one of those to my car so it charges with the cig lighter, and not the built in USB port.
