Where to wrap up car ?

Hello folks,

Wondering where you guys have wrapped up your cars or done plasti-dip in tri-state ? Would recommend for me and my cousin.

He has a AW LCI E90 Sedan looking to get his top black
I have a black on black looking to wrap the car in either Satin or Gloss Space Gray or White (leaving the top black) any recommendations?

Thx

Recommendations:
  • Two-tone cars can look silly if the overall appearance isn't considered and the color balance managed really, really well. AW with a black roof is your best bet if you insist on doing it. Even then, in order to have the proper balance of color, you'll need to have more black bits on the car than just the roof. The grill, the lettering on the trunk and sides, dark tint on the windows, and a black spoiler on the rear should do the trick. After that, if you want black wheels and mirrors (??? - but definitely not matte black) you can do it if you want to. Check the photo section on B-post to get some ideas before you head down the two-tone route. (There are other ways to make it work besides my suggestion above.)
  • Matte colors were something BMW offered at one point. They don't do that so much any more and those colors don't sell well.
  • Plasti-dip (or similar applications) works well on the front grills and the various lettering found on the car. Much more than that is overdoing it and if/when the plastic tears, you don't want to have to redo large portions of the application just because one small section got damaged. (That's likely what you'll have to do to keep the whole thing smooth.)

Good luck and all the best.

Thanks but doesn't look like my cousin wants to do much right now. His roof was going to be gloss black with black wheels.

Me in the other hand debating on a satin wrap gray or white, I just got a 2011 Black on Black MB C300 4Matic. Black is just a PITA to maintain clean and looking nice without swirls when u have to park outside and not having your own garage.

Open to hear everyone's opinion if I should go and wrap a black car to a different color, or stick with black and put some nice gun metal wheels or glossy blk powder coat instead?

IMO I would go a crazy color that pops if wrapping the car no point going a basic color and spending 2-3gs for a wrap rather spend that on rims or suspension
