I've been thinking of going down the route of wheel spacers, possibly 15mm rear and 10mm front. I've got standard 17" M Sport alloys so want them to fill the arches a bit better and also improve the feel of the car.

Is there any negatives to the wheel spacers?

I'm thinking off the schnell ones, a bit pricey but a quality product front what I understand.

None that I'm aware of. Had them on several cars with no issues at all.

Here's mine with 15mm rear and 10mm front (since increased to 15mm front).

Until last friday I had 10mm spacers on mine in the front. But have them removed.
They dont center correctly. I had some H&R's with center alignment. But still they didn't center correctly. And whne they don't center they are cause to vibrations in the steering wheel at different speeds :-(
In the rear I still have 5mm spacers with no problem at all.

If you don't properly seat the spacer you can also run into vibrations. This is an easy issue to avoid, clean the hub with a wire wheel if there is any build up of rust or dirt on it, wipe it clean, then install the spacer. Do the same to the back of your wheel. This will prevent any grime from causing the spacer or wheel not to seat properly.

If a spacer isn't properly designed you can run into vibrations. This is also easy to avoid, simply by reputable spacers.

Typically on BMWs 10mm spacers are vodo, they have to be properly designed around the hub which protrudes about 10mm. Our ECS Spacers take this into account, as do many other reputable brands.

Also good choice, most of my guys go a hair more aggressive up front (12.5mm), but 10s will look great as well!

Something wrong with the fitting there mate. No way should you get those problems with hub-centrics...
