The driver of a BMW sustained a bullet wound in his hip Monday morning when a passenger in a green mini-van opened fire into his car on Highway 101 in San Francisco, California Highway Patrol Officer Shawn Chase said tonight.
It was the second shooting reported on 101 since Sunday night, when a man died from gunshot wounds he suffered while driving northbound through Burlingame, according to the CHP. It is unknown if the highway shootings are related.

The victim of this morning's shooting suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Chase said. According to the victim, the mini-van drove up alongside his southbound BMW at around 10:30 a.m. A passenger in the van reportedly rolled down his window and fired a round into the BMW, striking the driver in the hip, Chase said.

The unidentified victim told CHP officers he did not know the shooter and has never seen the mini-van. The shooter is described as a man in his 30s, Chase said. The CHP is investigating the incident.

An investigation also continues into Sunday's fatal highway shooting in Burlingame. Police are searching for the party or parties responsible for shooting Londell Wilson, 25, once in the upper torso while he was driving northbound at around 11:15 p.m.

i saw a car chase and shooting over on the east bay on hwy 24 by oakland a couple weeks ago. it was fucking crazy!!
