Just surprised the wife with a new look for her e92 328 M-Sport.

Went to European Auto Source in Anaheim and they hooked me up.
• VMR V710s Gunmetal Grey
• Hancook V12

Front 19x18.5 ET35 -235/35
Rear 19x9.5 ET 33 -265/30

We did H&R Sports Springs.
They did the install on everything and included an alignment.

I was waiting in the lobby and then I saw this car drive in and I did a double take. I was expecting a simple look but man-it was stunning. Bigger wheels and a lower look. It was sexy to me right off the hop!


Here it's in the garage at EAS-felt really comfortable with these guys-they were busy dealing with nothing but M3s all day too!


Just absolutely perfect. Not too low and the gap is pretty much gone. This is how the car should have came in terms of height.


I think this offset is neutral and just right (not too tucked not too far out) for your average enthusiast.


Just love the look of the gunmetal against the this Titanium.


What a difference in the tires vs run flat eh? Just absolute night and day difference. More of a cushiony ride if you will. The springs seemed a little more "floaty" and not as stiff but I can't quantify that as we changed two components at once here. It would be interesting to see how the H&R Sport springs would have felt with stock run flats. On my way home to SD from Orange County, I had the OEM wheels and springs in the trunk and back seat. So it kinda simulated as if there were two passengers in the back. Only once on a major dip did I bottom out on the bump stop. But, there were no tire rub, no fender rub, nothing! It was a nice smooth, relaxing ride on the 80 mile drive down the coast.

Spoke to the guy who was doing the alignment at EAS and he said from the stock set up converted to this set up I am only about 1/4 of inch lower. Hope this makes sense to novice enthusiast (like me). But going from 18 inch to 19 inch it raised it there plus difference in tires. But we went lower in sprints from OEM sport to H&R sport. I think this was a really safe route for crossing into the "aggressive threshold" especially for a chick. The feedback she gave was pure excitement. From the look of the car, the stance, the smell of new rubber. To how it drove, smoother, not as stiff feeling or rough sounding thuds as we went across our normal roads for a test. EAS made me look like a genus. I was so pumped on this set up and glad to live vicariously through it.

Nice setup, weird how your the H&R sport isn't as low as what I've seen and have. My rear tires are tucking and my front has about a 5mm wheel gap.

Hey @wonton I measured it sitting and I am getting 6-8mm gaps. I placed a level stick across the tires under the middle of the fender and measured it that way. Maybe the springs aren't settled?

Can anyone recommend how to get rid of the rust around the hub/inside of the rotors? Paint? Rust removal?

A wire brush is what most people would use.

Can you run this setup on an xdrive car? Seems like the rolling circumference may be more than 1%
