Issue with BMW Prof. radio LCD

I searched here and Google and couldn't find any posts with exactly the same issue. Most of the others have screens that are too dim, pixels breaking, etc. but not one that has had the LCD turn bright orange.

I can barely see the text on the screen but not well enough to go through the menus. Luckily I know my way around from having a previous E90.

Anyone seen this before and have a solution? I know there are ways to replace the LCD strip, send in to be fixed or replace the head unit altogether.

Thanks for reading.

looks like it needs replacing. try the lcd test feature in hidden menu or by Turning on the radio, then press and hold the ‘m’ button for approximately ten seconds. The test mode is navigated using ‘+’ and ‘-’, until it displays a number of test patterns. Exit the test mode by turning the radio off.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will give that a try.

There is a stereo and audio sub forum here.

There is a stereo and audio sub forum here.

That Led strip is a common problem has been since they started
using it in the last century.

You're right. I should've posted there. Thanks for the links!
