CrystalWhite 64W CREE - Fitting Problems
I've moved this into a thread on its own and i'm sure some of you are wondering why.
I am close to admitting defeat. I bought these a few weeks back and have not been able to get them in. I've had many attempts but my problem is the heat sync catching on the plastic spike (that the plastic tube is on that you remove). I've also tried with and without the red rubber ring round the LED. I've spoken to Ish@crystalwhite and he has been very generous. But I can't believe that I am the only one it seems that it won't fit. Now do I simply cut off the spike. I have been reluctant to do this as no one else has mentioned modifying the housing in that way. Car is 60plate 320d m sport plus with xenons |

+1,
If anyone can kindly help in this matter. I've tried going through our fittings procedures but cant find the error anywhere! If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! |

Cut those spike and make your life easy.
They are made to hold the wires there. If you do not want to cut, push those hard to get the H8 in.

Thanks again makkan
Magic - are you saying you took the spike out or just cut it? Does it turn or did you get Stanley out? The only reason for my hesitance is that I don't want to break anything. But from makkan's comment if they are just for the wires it should be fine |
