@The Ring aka Green Hell / last week-end
A few shots from last Friday and Saturday at the Nürburgring. Most of the photos were done by Jochen van Cauwenberge aka Frozenspeed: http://www.frozenspeed.com/. Friday the Ring was open for Touristenfahrten in the afternoon, that was great fun - not too many people on the track, very warm (33 degrees Celsius). Saturday there were far more people, I was mostly occupied with trying to overtake people.
Was the first time I had semi-cup tires on my car, too. I bought an extra set of 18" wheels (OZ Alleggerita 8 + 8.5") with Federal 595 RS-R semi-cup tires on them (225/255 mm). Loads of grip, considerably more than with my Michelin Super Sports. And the Federals squeal nicely when they get to the grip limit, which makes them nicely predictable. Tone joined me on Saturday and did loads of laps, either driving himself (with my car or other people's cars) or as a passenger / coach. He said when we got there that "it is nice to be home again". Friday 2 August: Saturday 3 August: Adenauer Forst (1): Adenauer Forst (2): A lap with a mate from the German car forums (1): A lap with a mate from the German car forums (2): A lap with the gf of a mate from the German car forums : Now this is E92Fan aka Tony driving I believe: Here you can see Tony, doing a lap with a mate from the German car forums (1): Here you can see Tony, doing a lap with a mate from the German car forums (2): Alpina_B3_Lux

Car looks fab!! Good to see despite all the use the car is standing up well!! Though am ashamed to say I'm not really putting the Procede I bought off you to good use, hardly running it above boost at the moment....
How does the ride compare on 18inch wheels to 19inch wheels? I might have a excuse to buy a new set of alloys soon.. |

He had lots of fun with the other cars though - he did some laps driving my car, driving another 335i (with cup tires and stock suspension, very bad) and even in an Audi A5. Not too obvious with the steering wheel being on the "other" side... Alpina_B3_Lux

I have been nurburgring twice now, went two weeks ago and stayed in Adenau at the nordshelife hotel. Really good view point and an Aston Martin crashed so that made it more interesting.
However I did manage to stretch the leg in my e90 330d. I enjoyed it but at one point I realised the speed you can do in certain places is very fast! It I tyre blows you have shot it! |

Another one - Tony with my car in the Karussell:
Me in the Karussell: After Tony drove with this guy's car (335i with remap + cup tires but OEM suspension), the owner did not feel well at all for some time: Alpina_B3_Lux

My God! Somebody has found Tony alive... Thought he had been kidnapped and being held hostage to cook Beef Wellington in some third world country!
Glad you had a good time and excellent pictures! Only had the opportunity to visit the once this year |
