Bmw service breakdown

Anyone know what exactly bmw do In a service, because recently my fathers 118d went in for service and all we can make head and tails of is the fact it had an oil change and a brake fluid change,
My e90 320d is due in the next 1000miles and its the 3rd service car is on 48k just wondering what they would do exactly? Apart from renew the oil!

BMW servicing is condition based and can vary from car to car.Oil changes are done by calculating engine run time, brake fluid every two years, vehicle check every 3,brakes depending on mileage and use,and micro filters are generally done every second oil change. The dealer will have a check sheet they keep for they're records and generally not given to the customer but a copy can be supplied.

I understand that but what I mean is, do they not do the non noticeable things like strip brakes clean pads, adjust handbrakes, check tyre pressures, lube locks, check lights, check wiper blades, all stuff like that ?

Ah ok,generally not.The most 'service' type operation is the vehicle check. This is when tyre pressures are checked, items lubed, levels checked etc

The oil service, standard scope, micro filter service etc are all just operations on the car with no unnecessary extras to keep the cost and time down for the customer
