Puddle lights as turn signals

While I was doing my mods this past week, I got the idea to connect my puddle lights (http://jlevistreetwerks.com/store/BM...411e2ea6e5b)to my turn signals at the resistors for the LED turn signal bulbs as opposed to wiring them into the door handle lights. All I did was cut the strand of puddle lights in half about an inch past the 5th light. That gave me just enough wire to run them out of the tail light housing, tucked into the crack between the bumper and rear quarter panel, under the wheel well felt, and under the car up to about the front lift point. I used a 2" plastic putty knife to wedge the wiring between the panels and also under the car's belly panel. I'll take a video of the car tonight so you can see what it looks like when it's operational. The brackets supplied are at about a 45degree angle, but I bent them up to as small of an angle as possible because you could see the lights at about 5 feet away since they were closer to the ground and it looked tacky that way. The lights look good at night, but you can't really see them during the day (they were designed to work at night). I might take them off and reattach them with small screws through the holes in the sides of the housing, but that'd be a later date. Ease of install 2 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being most difficult. If they don't work, switch the wires since LEDs will only work 1 way.

As much as I applaud your thinking outside the box, this is kinda like the guy who wired his door handle LEDs to his turn signals, I think it looks a big too much big rig trucker.

But hey man if that what you like, I'm all for it, as long as you are happy. But Way to go to have a Truly Original Mod

lol,, that mod is completely pointless.. it should only turn on when you open the door or unlock the car like it was meant for. I dont understand why you would want a light show everytime you make a turn. I guess to each his own.. I give your props for such a unique but pointless mod.

Looks like one of those elaborate X'mas lighting scheme but I applaud your originality.

I'm thinking of getting the puddle lights but my wife is all against it.

ive ordered my puddle lights. cant wait to get them! i oppose the idea as using it for a turn signal though... but shit, thats just my opinion. great idea, maybe i would do it if it were for under the front right/left side of the bumper. but def. not the side, its just overkill.
