well equipped 3.2 Audi TT coupe $50k VS Cayman (not S) $52k which one will you pick?

I was looking for 2008 TT 3.2 automatic coupe
I found several cars that match what I want
like exteior color, options such as navigation, park assistant, automatic etc
but there is only little discount (about $500 to $1000) on this car, so the price is around $50000.
So, I changed my mind to buy Porsche Cayman. What I think is almost same price I would rather get Porsche other than Audi.
I found red exteiror color (that's what I want the most) and automatic, but it doesnt have much options. like xenon light, bose audio package etc...no navigation and no park assistant..
Good thing is that it is a 2007 new car, so there is a $6000 discount from MSRP. so the price is around $52000
which one will you pick? or which one should I have?
thank you

Judging from the options you've picked, neither would be sufficient for me.

I have to say it, I'd rather take a 335i.

Between the OP's two, I'd pick the Cayman. Between the Cayman and the E92 335i, it would be a tough choice. Cayman S would be an easy choice over the 335i, but "regular" Cayman... yes, I still think I'd go with it over the E92 335i but it would be close.

This question deserves its own article. Ah - here's one: http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto...wmodels/33294/

You're probably still gonna have mechanical seats or some other bull like that. If you get a Porsche, you have to realize that you're gonna get nickled-and-dimed-to-death if you want it to be at least reasonably equipped.

NOT to sound biased (I mean it), but you would really be getting a better overall deal with a 335i. Seriously. The Cayman's gonna be a stripper, and the TT's a chick car (as previously mentioned) imo. The only things I see justifying the Cayman are the god-like Porsche handling and the looks. However, for some that's enough to justify the absurd prices. The TT on the otherhand is a waste of money imo. Judging from reviews, the rear seats are completely useless, if that might be important to you. The handling is still wannabe sportscar-esque, and the looks just scream chick.

It's up to you in the end to drive them and decide for yourself. I still highly suggest that you check out a 335i (in this case, 2 doors seems to be in your taste, why not the e92?). Good luck car shopping!

+1 If you're going to get an auto then don't bother with a Porsche, get the TT. Every time a sports car is ordered with an auto God kills a kitten/baby/puppy/whatever. And no, a TT is not a sports car and the Porsche Turbo doesn't count because it's faster in auto.

Uh... I would go with the Cayman probably.

Those cars are extremely small though. Very SLK-ish-

Why not get an A5 or 335 for 50k??

Also I'd go w/ the p-car considering the two cars you mentioned...Also you can do better than $6,000 off msrp on the cayman TRUST ME. You can get 10% off w/o even negotiating on a current year model. I can only imagine what you could get since the 08's are around the corner. Also in all honesty you might want to consider the cayman s for brakes alone! I was disappointed w/ the boxster's brakes ...there's a HUGE difference in braking performance between the base model and the S. Then of course you got tons of power. But in the end cars are a waste of money...so you should consider a CPO w/ 6 year warranty..
lol I knew that you'd throw this in.

Just got behind a brand new TT about an hour ago. He was ahead of me on a two lane bypass (like a mini-highway). Nice looking car He was running her hard moving in and out of traffic. I finally caught up and the traffic thinned out a bit, and then I figured we would run together.....wrong. I blew the doors off him, enough so he had to follow me into the shopping center I was pulling into, honked his horn and pulled behind my car as I parked. I got out and he said, "Damn, those things do haul ass". We talked a bit, his interior was REALLY nice, but performance wise, we both agreed, TT just wasn't on par. Though I don't think Audi intended it to be, sorry if I sound ignorant, but I know NOTHING about ther performance numbers of the new TT.
