I am gonna say Q7 S-line. Cheaper, better looking, new X5 is nice however very similar to the previous model.

I would go for the x5. I think it`s look better and it`s a fact that it drives better.

Have you driven both? X5 (previous gen) was pretty damn stiff IIRC

I'd go with the X5 as well. The new design looks really good- bold and sporty.

i would go with the Q7 its a really nice car, cheaper, the Audi design is very good, quite bold, and its for your wife, i dont think you need that much of a driver's car with the handling and such, plus teh Q7 will be VERY comfortable, and audi quality materials just seal teh deal for me, plus theres quattro!

Q7...the X5 is nice, but still similar to the old X5. The Q7 is completely new. I'd go for S-line, it looks amazing

wait. i must have read wrong. audi quality materials?! please tell me, you are not talking about the interior. a fucking honda civic has a better interior durability/quality balance vs any audi.

I think all your credibility goes down the drain when you say that

If you sat in a Q7 you will know what he is talking about, the interior is rubbish, plastic every where, thats why its cheaper.

The S5 and some other models are an exception

Civics have nice interiors so that wasn't TOO bad of a comment. I personally like Infinity FX (or Q if you need a big one) They are close to BMW quality for a lot less money. I prefer them over Audi as well.

No I have to admit that I haven`t drove any of them but all motor journalist agree that X5 is better. (At least what I have read) I read in one magasin that the Q7 felt like an tourist bus compared to the X5. It`s just to heavy.
