Finally adding sub to my current system
So like the title says I'm getting around to adding a pair of JL w0's in a sealed box with an Alpine MRD 605 that I have laying around.
I was searching around for some answers to questions I had and stumbled across this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=464559 My problem is my trunk. Its sealed no ski pass and no fold down seats. I have a set Jehnerts under the seats, bandpassed at 50- 150 right now. And plan to cross the subs at 50 for sub bass. I'm hoping the Jehnerts would take care of the frequencies above 50hz and that the subs in the trunk would be loud enough to handle everything down from there. I know from researching on here that corner loading would be optimal but I want to see if I can get away with the box firing forward. If anyone is running a similar setup I would love to hear some comments or advice. I just want to make sure the subs would be heard, I'm not looking for hip hop type bass but for some "fill" I guess to balance out the low end and make up for the frequencies I'm missing from the under seats. |
