Will this work - wheel and tire fitment setup?
I just bought a set of 18x8 ET35 square setup of rims. I am considering buying a set of 205/40/18... Will this be a safe setup? Don't want to stretch my tires too much.

If you don't want stretch why 205/40/18? You should go with 225/40/18. You will not have any rubbing with that setup. Its basically factory specs. I would consider spacers.

Also it will mess up speedo and tyres are 0.63 inch smaller diameter than factory wheels 225/40/18, so basically your ground clearance is getting even smaller. But anyway here is some examples http://tyrestretch.com/?s=8.0+205+40+R18+

+1 for 225/40/18s.
Spend the extra money on the right sizing.

205/40R18 is very small and certainly not a recommended size.
