Winter tires for 189's
Hello, Im new to the forum but have been lurking for quite some time. I recently picked up an 07 Dinan stage 3 335i and am stationed in Germany, where winter tires are mandatory beginning 1 Oct.
I currently have Hankook v12 evos with a 225/35/18 front and 255/30/18 on the rear. I would like to go as wide as possible for a winter set up, even though I know this is not recommended, I don't plan on doing any driving in actual snow, its more for just passing the inspection and having a soft tire to cope with the extreme climate. The car does have the sports package, however Im not sure if the tire size above is correct. Could I move up to a 245/35/18 and a 275/30/18 for the rear on stock 189's? The car is putting down enough power to have traction issues in 2nd gear so would like to have a wider stance in the rear. Many thanks for any opinions |
