I was on the fence about Eibach pro-kit springs with FSD dampers, but I've had enough exposure to the cases of "smash/jolt" FSD responsiveness to big potholes or big dips. They are a 7/10 based on long term ownership, as in after the excitement wears off and you're driving the car in different conditions and circumstances.

Then I reconsidered the eibach pro system which is eibach dampers (made by Sachs, the OEM BMW supplier) custom matched to pro kit springs. Tire rack had great things to say and a few members have voiced the same.

I didn't see any recent posts and really hoped some members could comment on their experience, and which bumpstops they used since the eibach kit apparently does not include.

Thanks!

i have eibachs on my e90. You gotta get bump stops too. I got m3 and z4 bumpstops. search the forum for the part #s. This is my dd and i like the ride. slight drop and comfortable. I need to get myself some shocks though.

Just read multiple posts last night that the stock bumpstops are supposed to be used :

The stock bumpstops are apparently part of the spring rate. I'll call eibach to confirm so that it's for certain and post the results.

How much would all that cost? Probably just a bit more and you can get the Sachs coilovers .. and if you're going to spend all that time or $ to change everything out, you might as well do it right the first time Sachs coils have a 20 point adjustment knob on each damper, you can completely change the ride of your car from comfort to track in 5min w/o any tools or a jack.

Picked up my set from someone here, lightly used for 1k

Who said the pro-system isn't doing it right the first time?

Sachs... Good for you. Buying used suspension components is a guessing game. I'll pass.

And the maximum ride height on their coil overs is as low as I'd ever want to go, so it is pointless for my purposes.
