Steering wheel shakes from 35-55
As soon as the car hits 35 the steering wheel shakes a good bit and subsides when I hit 55 and completely gone by the time I hit 60
Car drives straight if I let my hand off wheel and Ive taken it to a shop and had wheels/tires checked for unbalancing and they came out just fine. Rob told me its probably worn out control arms and to upgrade to M3 arms, but I wanted to check with the community to see if anyone else has had this issue. Pressing on the brake does not make the wheel stop shaking.

Control arms or wheel bearings. I had a vibration, very slight. I replaced with m3 control arms and it was still there, wheel bearings did fix it though.

I do have 3mm spacers up front, but pretty sure they are hub centric? Maybe not?

It may or it may not be. If I'm not mistaken the lenght of the hub is more than 3mm so it shouldn't be an issue. Try taking off your spacers and see what happen. GL.

I say control arms, could be a wheel bearing but unlikely....they do go out but not often.

Its probably your wheel being off balance. I had same issue last year. I took it to discount tire and they did all 4 wheels. After that was a very smooth ride again. I did not notice I removed the wheel weights from cleaning wheels on the inside. GL

I take it to a shop that I trust, my guy knows exactly what hes doing. But when I get better Im going to take it back and have them look at arms and if they say its ok. Ill go to another tire shop just to see.

How many miles on tires and what kind? Sometimes a bad tire can do this.
Basic things to do before getting complicated are check all lug nuts on tight and properly TQ'd? Rotate tires see if problem persists to rule out above, etc. Once that is done get it on a rack and look at the harder stuff, starting with steering rack, tie rods, ball joints, and moving outward to big bushings. |

Oh yeah one other thing I thought of last night, didn't you get RB's? Or someone with a user name like you did. Anyway you at least have DP's, so check any elements underneath that may have got loosened to install. Rack, subframe etc.
