Wheels
Interesting, in the manual guide for my wife's WV Rabbit they state that if I had to take off a wheel, and then put it back myself, I must visit a dealership during next few days so they make sure I tightened it with exact required force - I don't remember the number.
Never seen such a requirement for BMW - does it make any sense anyways? If you were to replace your summer wheels for winter set yourselves on your driveway, would you worry whether you applied enough force to tighten the nuts? |

When you use a torque wrench make sure to set it to 120 Nm (~88 pound feet)
And try to re-torque every while, say a month as well as after you come from your first driver after installing new wheels on the car. |

Watch for Canadian Tire 1/2 price sale for the torque wrench. The regular one will cost you 35-40$, the Maximum one 65$. Otherwise regular is $65 and $130 respectively. I got the Maximum one (1/2 inch) for 65$. It is a good investment for safety. Alloy wheels on Europeans require about 90 lbs.
