CA Remote Battery Issues

I have a 2009 335i with CA and only one remote (don't ask...). I sometimes have issues getting my car to open the doors. I can be standing right next to the driver side door, hitting the open button multiple times and it wont budge. It sometimes takes 5-8 clicks for it to work. Then, when it finally opens i put the key back in my pocket, and hit the start button. Stupid ding with key light flashing. It doesn't recognize my key... So i have to take it out of my pocket and stick it in the dash. Vroom...off i go. With that said, other times I can be 50ft away, hit the button and viola works perfectly. Get in with the key in my pocket and start 'er up like a champ.

Seeing how I can't replicate this issue, the dealership told me they can't find anything wrong with my key. I would say this issue happens 45-50% of the time. Plus I don't have a 2nd key to test it out.

Oh and before you say "change the battery noob". I have and do. When i change it, it seems to work 100% for a week, then it just go downhill for there. I actually replaced my battery July 1st, ONLY when the key takes awhile to open the doors, I start the car and I get the "battery discharged" light. I just replaced it 2 months ago, how can it discharge so quickly!?

Basically I'm here asking if ANYONE has had an issue with their CA key, or maybe can enlighten me on something I'm missing or arm me with information I can take to the dealer to have them check it out even further. Car is under warranty until Nov 2013.

Silly question, but are you using good batteries? I've had HORRIBLE luck with that style battery. Most of them are garbage. I started using Duracell or Energizer and have had better luck... YMMV

Hrm good point. I did get some cheapo Sanyos. I'll definitely give it a shot with some name brand batteries. Thanks!
