Talking Some very VERY good news today

My car was back in at Syntner BMW high Wycombe due to my rattly roof

It was in there a couple of weeks back but they were unable to trace the fault. Two days later the roof started to "snap" into the closed position for about the last 10mm of travel.

I then noticed the main roof seal was getting damaged by the locking bolts that hold the front section into the rear

To top it all when closing the roof the other day the flexible "curtain" part of the head lining got snagged and ripped

So...... back in it went and to be honest I was expecting them to say that the fault was not covered under warranty as trims and adjustments are not covered but thankfully they have found a faulty catch in the locking mech that has not only caused the rattle but also caused the damage to the roof seals and the head lining

Now that catch IS covered under warranty and subsequently all damage caused by it is also covered

All being replaced free of charge and I reckon its at least £1500 worth of work so I am one very, Very happy camper today

Big thumbs up to Syntner High Wycombe for pushing it all through under warranty. It was touch and go for a while I can tell ya

Jon

Excellent news, I will be extending my warranty just in case I have any problems with my roof. £1500 bills are not something I really want hitting my wallet.

Great news. There appears no consistency across dealerships when it comes to warranty work.I'm glad yours has worked out.
